Sandra has worked for the SFBJV since 2003, as Assistant Coordinator through 2018, then officially taking the Coordinator reigns in March of 2019. As Coordinator of the San Francisco Bay Joint Venture (SFBJV), she works closely with members of this broad partnership on conservation planning, policy, communications, and implementation of strategic action in the San Francisco Bay region.
In her nearly 25 years as a conservation professional, she has coordinated multi-scale program and project stakeholder engagement, complex project management, and staff and team building to achieve effective conservation planning and delivery. Significant roles prior to coming to the JV included coordinating the California chapter of the land bird focused initiative Partners in Flight. With a biological research and broad environmental studies education, Sandra’s strongest interests lie in programs that offer multi-disciplinary and creative solutions to today’s biggest environmental challenges through partnership and concrete action.
