Non-Governmental Organizations
Bay Area Audubon Council is a coalition of the eight Bay Area Audubon chapters that meet for the purpose of communicating and coordinating to further our common goals of conserving wildlife, particularly birds, and wildlife habitat, and educating the community about the natural environment.
The Bay Area Open Space Council is a collaborative of over 55 member organizations actively involved in permanently protecting and stewarding important parks, trails and agricultural lands in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.
The Bay Institute: Protecting and restoring the ecosystems of San Francisco Bay, the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the rivers, streams and watersheds tributary to the estuary.
Bay Planning Coalition: Advocating balanced use and regulation of San Francisco Bay-Delta resources.
Citizens Committee to Complete the Refuge: A citizens group dedicated to protecting our remaining endangered wetlands.
Ducks Unlimited: Fulfilling the annual life cycle needs of North American waterfowl by protecting, enhancing, restoring and managing important wetlands and associated uplands.
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats on which they depend.
Point Blue Conservation Science
Point Blue Conservation Science is dedicated to conserving birds, other wildlife and ecosystems through scientific research and outreach in the West.

The San Francisco Estuary Partnership is a coalition of resource agencies, non-profits, citizens, and scientists working to protect, restore, and enhance water quality and fish and wildlife habitat in and around the San Francisco Bay Delta Estuary.

The San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority (SFBRA) is a regional government agency charged with raising and allocating resources for the restoration, enhancement, protection, and enjoyment of wetlands and wildlife habitat in the San Francisco Bay and along its shoreline.
Bay Area Ecosystems Climate Change Consortium (BAECCC) brings together natural resource managers, scientists, and others to collaboratively understand and reduce the negative impacts of climate change on Bay Area ecosystems and communities.
The California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (CA LCC) is a management-science partnership created to inform and promote integrated science, natural resource management and conservation to address impacts of climate change and other stressors within and across ecosystems.
The South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project is the largest tidal wetland restoration project on the West Coast. When complete, the project will restore 15,100 acres of industrial salt ponds to a rich mosaic of tidal wetlands and other habitats.
Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network – Shorebirds are among nature's most ambitious, long-distance migrants. But their numbers are dropping quickly with some species projected to go extinct within our lifetime. Protecting these birds is an important international conservation priority that requires proactive and coordinated efforts within each of the countries these birds fly through during their vast, pole to pole migrations.
