CDFW
will distribute these funds on a competitive basis through two
grant programs

collectively referred to as the Propositi
on 1 Restoration Grant Programs
.
The
Watershed Restoration Grant Program
($285 million)
will focus on water quality, river,
and watershed protection and restoration projects of statewide importance outside of
the Sacramento
-
San Joaquin Delta (Delta). The D
elta Water Quality and Ecosystem
Restoration Grant Program
($87.5 million)
will focus on water quality, ecosystem
restoration and fish protection facilities that benefit the Delta.
CDFW released its
Draft Proposition 1 Grant Program Guidelines (PDF)
in March 2015 and held three public meetings throughout California to gather public input and
comments. CDFW is in the process of finalizing the
G
uidelines in response to
the
input
and comments received.
The purpose of the Guidelines is to establish the process,
procedures, and criteria through which CDFW will administer these competitive grant
programs. Separate, but related, Proposal Solicitation Notices will provide detailed Notice of
information regarding how to apply, and priorities and evaluation criteria specific to each
solicitation. |
