| Event Description | The theme of the 6th ISDC will be: “From Bay to Boreal: Challenges of Full Annual Cycle Management of Sea Ducks” andoffers three full days of scientific presentations and discussions, evening workshops and a poster session. A field trip is being planned following the 3-day science program. Each day of the science program starts with a plenary speaker that is then followed by three consecutive thematic sessions that include contributed oral presentations on a wide range of contemporary topics such as the following: adaptive management, breeding ecology, resource selection during winter and migration, foraging ecology and nutrition, carryover effects and reproductive success, innovative techniques for sea duck studies, disease ecology, population dynamics. A featured session focuses on “Planning Restoration and Recovery for Sea Ducks Injured in Coastal Oil Spills.” |
