Description |
This program makes our nation safer and our economy more secure by supporting efforts to enhance the resilience of coastal communities and ecosystems from extreme weather- and climate-related impacts. The program is jointly managed by two NOAA offices: the Office for Coastal Management (National Ocean Service) and the Office of Habitat Conservation (National Marine Fisheries Service).
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, private (for-profit) entities, institutions of higher education, regional organizations, and local, state, and tribal governments. Each proposal may request between $75,000 and $2 million in federal funds. Funding for the NOAA Coastal Resilience Grants program is dependent on annual appropriations.
