The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is seeking grant proposals for projects that will restore or enhance wetlands and result in a net reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and provide important co-benefits. The implementation of the wetland restoration or enhancement must be completed by November 30, 2023.
The Program is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing GHG emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment - particularly in disadvantaged communities. The Cap-and-Trade program also creates a financial incentive for industries to invest in clean technologies and develop innovative ways to reduce pollution. California Climate Investments projects include affordable housing, renewable energy, public transportation, zero-emission vehicles, environmental restoration, more sustainable agriculture, recycling, and much more. At least 35 percent of these investments are located within and benefiting residents of disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and low-income households across California.
CDFW will host an online Pre-Application Workshop for the 2019 GHG Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) on Wednesday, July 31 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM via Skype.
This workshop will cover:
1. WebGrants Registration;
2. How to Apply to this PSN; and
3. How the Pre-Applications will be evaluated.
Workshop attendance is encouraged but not required. If you cannot attend, you may watch the recording of the July 10 Pre-Application Workshop.
