Description The Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program (EEMP) was established by the Legislature in 1989. It offers approx. $7 million each year for grants to local, state, and federal governmental agencies and to nonprofit organizations. Eligible projects must be directly or indirectly related to the environmental impact of the modification of an existing transportation facility or construction of a new transportation facility. The California Natural Resources Agency will be accepting proposals for the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program from April 15th through June 17th, 2019 via the System for Online Application Review (SOAR). Applicants submitting the most competitive proposals will be invited to participate in the next level of the competitive process, anticipated late Summer/early Fall 2019.
