Redwood Creek Restoration
Muir Beach access has been limited since July 8 while the parking lot is realigned. Part of the final phase of the Redwood Creek restoration project! When the park reopens in late November, Redwood Creek will once again be connected to its natural channel and floodplain. This will complete massive multi-year, landscape-level effort by the Parks Conservancy and National Park Service to restore the entire watershed and protect wetlands habitat for threatened and endangered species such as Coho salmon and the California red-legged frog.
